Springtime is near and with it comes outdoor adventures. I used to hate taking my gold cap out because he would scream so loud at times people would move out of the way. Then I realized, outside was the best place for him to get a chance to stretch his vocal cords.
With a little preparation, like making his taxi comfortable with his “blankie” and hanging a small favorite chew toy on the inside of the door, outside time is now much more pleasant. I take a “small” bag with food, tissues for clean up and a beaded water bottle. I’ve discovered we both enjoy bottled water, iced green tea and juice.
The next time you decide that a nice walk to the park or a quick trip through the drive thru take birdie along. Fresh air is wonderful, and most restaurants serve apple slices, so birdie can snack, too.
